Obama - The Surge Successful beyond wildest dreams »

“I think that the surge has succeeded in ways that nobody anticipated,” Obama said while refusing to retract his initial opposition to the surge. “I’ve already said it’s succeeded beyond our wildest dreams.”

- Barack Obama on O’Reilly Factor 9/4/2007

Let’s head out into the reality based orchard and pick a nutroot blog off the tree and see what they have said about the surge.

Obama: Surge Succeeded Beyond ‘Wildest Dreams’ - America’s Election HQ

The troop surge in Iraq has been more successful than anyone could have imagined, Barack Obama conceded Thursday in his first-ever interview on FOX News’ “The O’Reilly Factor.”

I’ll be looking forward to the posts that call out Obama on his claims of the Surge being a wild and dreamy success.

Think Progress Edits Jarrett - Bolton Fox News Video »

Think Progress blatantly edits video from Fox News of Gregg Jarrett interviewing Former UN Ambassador John Bolton.

In an interview with former UN ambassador John Bolton today, Fox News
anchor Gregg Jarrett asserted that Iran’s Shahab missile “could
actually hit — I think — some military installations in the United
States.” “Absolutely,” replied Bolton, clarifying that it was “U.S.
forces stationed in the region” that could be threatened by such a
missile. Watch it:

Watch as the video is frozen, you will notice Gregg Jarrett’s mouth stops moving where Think Progress makes it appear Jarrett is saying “military installations IN the United States”. What Jarrett actually said wad “military installations OF the United States.

Think Progress may want to check on where the U.S. has Military Installations.

Think Progress is a complete joke run by nothing more than a group of clueless, deceitful hacks.

I have a copy of Think Progress’s video edit just in case it mysteriously disappears from YouTube.

News Hounds Smear Widow of Murdered Texas Police Officer »

In an effort to swipe at Fox News and pump up an Illegal Alien “report” by George Soro’s Media Matters, the far left blog News Hounds takes shots at Joslyn Johnson a woman who is now a widow because an illegal allien shot and murdered her husband, Houston Police Officer Rodney Johnson, in the line of duty.

The deranged loons at “News Hounds” seem to feel that Fox News covering this story proves Media Matters correct in claiming that the media excessively covers the illeagl immigrant problem.

Fresh from the top of the comments at News Hounds:

I heard there was a white guy that killed some lady and was legally murdered in MI yesterday.

Why don’t we go out and start figuring where all these “white guys” came from and start shipping them back to where they or their ancestors came from.

How bloody ass ridiculous. Get a rope!! Hang ‘em high!

moron bitch!

News Hounds: O’Reilly Factor segment supports Media Matters analysis

Ingraham then turned to Johnson and elicited very sad, moving testimony from the widow about the details of her husband’s murder (actually it was borderline cruel questioning, imho). Ingraham ran out of time during the recitation and had to cut the story short, but left herself enough time to politicize it: “I’m sure that you have a thing or two to say to politicians in Washington who continue to defend what is absolutely a broken border, and this should never have happened. We appreciate you joining us, and, this is happening all over the country.”

One of the key findings of the Media Matters study was

* Illegal Immigration and Crime: Although numerous studies have found that immigrants in general commit fewer crimes than native-born citizens, these programs are positively obsessed with the topic. During 2007, the alleged connection between illegal immigration and crime was discussed on 94 episodes of Lou Dobbs Tonight, 66 episodes of Fox News’ The O’Reilly Factor, and 29 episodes of CNN Headline News’ Glenn Beck.

As they note about the myth of immigrants and crime, “These topics are complex, and there are sometimes legitimate points buried within the arguments immigration opponents make.” The over-hyping of isolated incidents and the emotional presentations makes it difficult for us to engage in rational, objective discussion and reach workable solutions. Of course this story is a tragedy for the Johnson family, and I think they’re going about attacking the problem in a way that can be effective.

So now letting a woman speak about the Murder of her Police Officer Husband is “eliciting very sad, moving testimony from the widow about the details of her husband’s murder” which is also according to News Hounds “borderline cruel questioning”?

Does the George Soros funded left stop at nothing to push their far left agenda, including the smearing of the Widow of a murdered police officer? Apparently not.

Bill O’Reilly Meltdown from 13 Years Ago ? »

A hilarious F-Bomb meltdown by Bill O’Reilly only thing funnier is how the Media Matters “wanna-be’s” over at Thinkprogress point to it with the usual misleading headline where they do every thing they can not to tell the reader the clip is over 13 years old.

It would be AWESOME if Bill O’ unloaded some of this “Irish Temper” on Olbermann, after the show, if you know what I mean…

Fox Derangement Blog Newshounds…. Still Making it Up »

Seems the pups over at Newshounds are hell still hell bent on producing as much hackery as possible.

This time claiming Bill O’Reilly is pushing items from NewsBusters (why shouldn’t he) when in fact CNN interviewed Colonel Ken Allard just this past Sunday in which Col. Allered confirmed his reason for leaving NBC was due to it’s tilting left.

CNN.com - Transcripts

KURTZ: … Cowan told me he recalled it quite vividly.

Colonel Allard, I’ve got a few seconds left.

Last year you quit NBC and MSNBC…

ALLARD: That’s right.

KURTZ: … after a 10-year relationship. You indicated you thought they were moving to the left.

ALLARD: I thought they really had moved very surely to the left. And I also thought that when they had the chance to clarify the fact that they were not moving to the left, they didn’t do so.

KURTZ: How did that affect your role as an analyst?

ALLARD: Well, number one, I was not getting on. And again, that had been a longstanding trend. And I simply saw the handwriting on the wall and said, you know what? They’re going one way, I’m going the other.

Guys, thank you very much. God bless you. I wish you well.

News Hounds: O’Reilly channels Newsbusters item to slap at NBC

How far will Bill O’Reilly go to furthur an agenda item? He’ll dredge up an old (over a year) non-story and omit pertinent facts, all to take another swipe at NBC - that bastion of liberalism that the self-proclaimed independent so loathes. His source? Newsbusters.

I know its tough but when “NEWS” is half of your website name you may actually want to read and watch some NEWS.

Newshounds Blog and 911 Truthers go after Disabled Girl Attacked by Truther »

How low is the leftie blog newshound? So low that trying to discredit and smear a young disabled woman is justified as long as it may help in the effort to make Fox News look bad.

The Anti-Fox News blog “Newshouds” and 911 truther lunatics mock and smear a young disabled woman who was attacked by 911 conspiracy nut Gary Talis

The hatred by the left is so thick that nothing is off limits anymore.
Smearing an assaulted disabled woman in order to defend a thug all in the name of bashing Fox News.

News Hounds: Right Wing Talking Point? I Heard It Through “The Grapevine”

This small “grape” is yet another instance of Fox communicating a right wing talking point that anti war protesters are violent. It is also another instance of Fox reporting on what’s all the “rage” in the right wing blogosphere. The Post story is strange. Was it’s author, Philip Messing, actually “on the scene” and if so why didn’t he have any photos of the altercation? (The only photo is of the woman, looking very happy, holding a framed photo of her taken with Laura Bush on another occasion.) Why haven’t the other news outlets picked up on it? This is NY City where incidents like this usually attract the media like flies on you-know-what. One hopes that in the inevitable interview with the Lovetros, Fox will also interview Talis. Obviously, if this girl was beaten, that is reprehensible; but in the US we do believe in “innocent until proven guilty” and Fox has already convicted Talis. Rather than “real” journalism, the adjective here should be “tabloid” or maybe “junk” which in its avoidance to tell only the “right” side of the story is also “unfair and unbalanced.”
