Microsoft: Hole exploit endangers all IE versions | Security - CNET News

An unpatched security hole in Internet Explorer that is being exploited affects all versions of the browser, making it more serious than originally believed when it was first publicized two days ago, Microsoft says.

Microsoft is investigating reports of attacks against a new vulnerability in IE but said in an update to a security advisory issued late on Thursday that all versions of IE are potentially vulnerable.

United Airlines Stock Plunge Probe »

Chicago Tribune Co. News articles “mysteriously” appearing out of nowhere is being investigated.

Probe into how Google mix-up caused $1 billion run on United - Times Online

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has opened a “preliminary inquiry” into how an outdated bankruptcy story sparked a $1 billion run on an airline’s stock value.

The article about how United Airlines filed for bankruptcy in 2002 was revived when it showed up on a newspaper site’s “most viewed” section on Monday.

From there it was picked up by Google News and later seen by alarmed stockholders. The stock plunged from around $12 to just $3 a share before trading was halted.

The Chicago-based company’s shares did not fully recover once trading resumed on Monday, and were still down at just over $11 dollars at close of trading yesterday.

The devastating power of false media stories and the internet is frighting.

This is a real and devastating case of how the internet can and will be used to wreak havoc on U.S. Security, corporations, personal lives and Vise Presidential candidates.

Obama’s Vice President Pick Announcment By Text and Email Message »

Obama announcing his Vice President pick by text message is an ingenious way to latch onto tens of thousands of young voters and hundreds of thousands of other potential voters.

It still amazes me the lack of RSS feed links on both the McCain and Obama sites.
Each campaign should have a blaring and branded feed logo with an entire page dedicated to feed info and “howto” info.

Phony Subliminal Symbolism.
